photography pricing sheets
what lighting produts should an amature photographer buy?

i’ve been photographing for the past 6 years, but i never got around to buying lighting equipment. i was thinking of buying a softbox, but again. im not sure what i should be buying (before now i’ve been improvising with lamps and sheets). assume price is not an issue. the lighting would be used for anything from headshots, to fashion photography, to product photography.

If I were buying my first light I would buy an Alien Bee, the best one I could afford (highest light output), and an umbrella. That to me is the most versatile purchase to begin with. You can do anything from a head shot, product shot, full length, group, etc. with that to begin with.
