There’s no shortage of knock off iPhone clones on the market today.  What started as just one phone that was offered as an alternative to the higher priced original has now morphed into an large industry that spans world wide. And, many of the clones have very different features, allowing you to chose the phone that most closely fits your needs with includes the features that you really need in a phone.  The M88 phone is one the newer “smartphones” in the CECT clone line up.  I will be discussing the features included in this phone, as well as it’s performance and price, in this article.  

SmartPhone Productivity Features: It took clone manufacturers a very long time to finally come up with an iPhone knock off that includes “smartphone” productivity features like WiFi, GPS, and Windows mobile.  The T32 also has these features, and now the M88 does as well.  These things obviously take the phone to a whole different level in terms of productivity, making it entirely possible to work away from the office using your phone.  Additionally, the M88 includes Java support, which means that you can download windows (and other) third party applications and software.  Examples are Outlook Express, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.  Gaming downloads are also available, but I find that the core target audience of this phone cares more about productivity than games (although it’s nice to have gaming as an option.) This phone is fully loaded.  The only thing that it doesn’t have is the “shake control,” but again, the phone appeals more to people who are going to use it for productivity rather than entertainment – although it does have most all of those bells and whistles as well.

Flo / Finger Touch (AKA “Menu In And Out” On An Over-sized Screen: This phone has the popular “finger touch” interface that is often also called “menu in and out” which means that you can scroll, advance, edit, zoom in or zoom out, etc. using only your fingers.  The touch screen on this one measures 3.2 inches.  This one is not considered a smaller or “mini” phone.  The size is needed because the tinier models can make a lot of data or information input difficult or slow.  The “MiPhone” as this phone is sometimes called, weighs 150 grams as opposed to the i9′s 95 grams, for example.

Dual Sim, Quad Band Bluetooth, And Everything Else: This phone is quad band (as opposed to the other import “smartphone,” the T32, which is tri band.)  Tri band phones work fine for most customers, but if you live over seas, travel often or your network operates on the 850 MHZ band, a quad band is often a better bet.

Additionally, like most clones, this one has dual sim slots, which allows you to have two phone numbers, two plans, or two networks. You just switch back and forth in between them as needed.

This phone also has Bluetooth, MP3 / MP4, FM radio, an ebook reader, and digital camera / web cam. You transfer data back and forth via memory card or USB cable.

Speaking of memory, this one is expandable, so you don’t have to worry about speed if you download a lot.  In terms of cost, you’re often looking at the somewhere in $200 range, depending on how much memory you want.  Most people consider this price attractive, as this phone has most every thing you could possibly need and you’re free to chose your own carrier.
