How to have this effects on a picture?

i have a canon rebel xti with tamron af 28-300 lens. But its not what i thought it would be. I want special effects on my pictures but i don’t know how. when i use it its the pictures seems that its taken from an ordinary digital camera. i wanna see the picture that i take standout that it really was taken from a dslr.
